The Power Of Passion & Perseverance

During our weekly meeting on May 8, 2018, Katie Maxwell discussed an amazing book called Grits: The Power Of Passion And Perseverance, written by pioneering psychologist Angela Duckworth. Angela shows us anyone striving to succeed, that the secret to outstanding achievement is not talent but a special blend of passion and persistence she calls “grit.” Here's Angela Duckworth giving a speech at TED Talks:

She quickly realized that IQ wasn't the only thing separating the successful students from those who struggled. Here, she explains her theory of "grit" as a predictor of success.
